Beginning his career as an apprentice with H2O Heating & Plumbing, 2024 is Paul Kossowski’s 20th year with the company.
Working under our now Production Director, Roger Oakley, Paul’s talent in the trade came naturally.
Starting his apprenticeship in 2004, he was quick to learn from the three other plumbers in the company. Thanks to the wide range of work H2O Heating & Plumbing is involved in, he was able to get a taste of all types of work – from small domestic jobs to large commercial projects.
“I really enjoyed the apprenticeship,” Paul said. “I was looked after and guided well. They made sure I had all the opportunities I needed.”
Since completing his apprenticeship, the opportunities to learn kept on coming. Paul has since earned his Oil Firing Technical Association (OFTEC) certificate and is on the Gas Safe Register.
He has also attended and passed numerous other manufacturing and training courses, which tied in with guidance from colleagues, helps him provide our industry-leading services.
Now a Senior Engineer, Paul has experience across all areas of the trade. While he has enjoyed all parts of the job, especially the banter of site work, he now focuses on bathroom installations.
“It’s a rewarding job working directly with customers,” he added. “It feels more personal, you can build a great relationship with them.
“And it’s a lot warmer than site work!”
The 37-year-old speaks highly of his years with the company and the people he’s met on the way.
Outside of work, he’s an avid Ipswich Town fan who takes his sons, aged eight and nine, to as many games as he can – when he’s not busy taking them to clubs of their own, that is!
